Solomon Wawatie has asked me to send this e-mail on his behalf to ask
for help in preparing Kokomville for receiving visitors from First
Nations all around Turtle Island (North America, including some Elders
and Shamen from Mexico, and perhaps some Inuit Youth and Elders), as
well as some Elders and Shamen from Bolivia. Kokomville (an Algonquin
community is in La Vérendrye Park, QC) will be full and busy
during
the month of August, especially just after Grandfather Commanda's
Spiritual Gathering, August 1-3 (www.circleofallnat ions.ca), with many
ceremonies, workshops and sharing of wisdom and knowledge, with the
climax of a Feast on the Full Moon, August 16, focused on Cultural
Sharing.
Help is needed to prepare. Funds are needed for travel expenses and
materials. Any offerings would be much appreciated. As well human
help is needed for the preparation of Kokomville, including the
construction of Wigwams to house guests. Solomon will be directing
this wigwam construction process, and he needs volunteers to help him.
This will be going on in the month of July, so people are welcome to
come to Kokomville to work and learn! Your help would be appreciated.
Solomon wants to construct at least 8 wigwams, and the cost for
materials for each is around $400 (for plastic tarps and a wood
stove). So, any financial contributions or material would also be
greeatly appreciated.
If you want to help, please forward this e-mail to anyone you might
know who can help further and/or who may want to participate. Please
communicate via e-mail to Solomon
