(( The Voice of the White House
Washington,
D.C., August 30, 2007: “There have been many deliberately leaked rumors about
a projected attack on Iran. Believe that Israel desperately wants this and
Cheney is firmly, and deeply, in their pocket over the issue of our attacking
their enemies. Bush wants to go along, believing a great surge of patriotic
support would be forthcoming from the adoring public and that he could end
his tenure in the White House in a blaze of public adulation and military
glory.
He
does actually believe this stupidity and is entirely capable of ordering
at attack. At this writing, the talk is that he is setting up plans for the
Air Force to bomb Tehran back into the stone age. This way, Bush reasons
(a word hardly fitting his ineptness) he doesn’t have to use ground troops
(which he no longer has), Israel will leap with joy and Cheney and his Likudist
friends will fawn over Bush.
Bush
has no friends left anymore, other than his wife and his dog, so as a man
who likes to be flattered and worshipped for his totally non-existent abilities,
he would purr like a stroked cat.
Even
if he announced this attack to a joint session of Congress, they could do
nothing to stop him because he has the legal right to launch such an attack.
Of course the Navy can’t take part because it would be attacked by the Iranian
missiles and obliterated but a fleet of bombers could easily make it to Tehran.
While it is known that Iran has a ring of anti-aircraft missiles around their
capital, in Bush’s squinty eyes, what are a few dozen bombers blasted out
of the air if he can do more damage and then give a fatuous speech about
how he saved his precious country from a savage attack by the evil al Quaeda?

With
evidence having emerged that marines were ordered by superiors to massacre
women and children in Haditha in Iraq two years ago, combined with scores
of other testimonies and reports of such barbaric demands being forced upon
American troops daily, it is clear that organised execution and ritual slaughter
is the set policy of the architects of...read more:

Red Cross report sets up Bush team for international war-crimes trial If
and when there's the equivalent of an international Nuremberg trial for the
American perpetrators of crimes against humanity in Guantánamo, Iraq,
Afghanistan, and the CIA's secret prisons, there will be mounds of evidence

Comment: There
is no doubt about it... it is up to us. Change will not happen without us.
No one will be held accountable without us. If we rely on Congress, the
next president, or anyone else for that matter, nothing will change.
The future is in our hands. It will be our children who will be the beneficiaries of our actions or, worse, inaction.

So
what else do the Americans have up their sleeve for us out here? Well, an
old chum of mine in the Deep South - a former US Vietnam veteran officer
- has a habit of tramping through the hills to the north of his home and
writes to me that "in my therapeutic and recreation trips ... in the mountains of North Carolina
over the last two weeks, I've noticed a lot of F-16 and C-130 activity. They
are coming right through the passes, low to the ground. The last time I saw
this kind of thing up there was before Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan".
That
was in early August. Two weeks later, my friend wrote again. "There were
a few (more) C-130 passes... I know that some 75th Rangers have just moved
out of their home base and that manoeuvres have gone on in areas that have
been used... in the past before assaults utilizing [sic] aircraft guided
by small numbers of special operations people."
And
then comes the cruncher in my friend's letter. "I think that the Bush administration
is looking for something to distract Americans before the mid-September report
on progress in Iraq. And I believe that the pressure is building to do something
about the sanctuaries for the Taliban and foreign fighters along the Pakistan/Afghanistan
border..."
A few
days after my friend's letter arrived in Beirut, the Pakistanis reported
that the Americans were using pilotless drones to attack targets just inside
Pakistan. But it seems much more ambitious military plans may now be in
the works. An all-out strike inside the North West Frontier province before
President Pervez Musharref steps down - or is overthrown? A last throw of
the dice at Bin Laden before "democracy" returns to Pakistan?
Stand by for more disasters - from Pakistan to the shores of the Mediterranean. But don't expect to hear about them in advance.

Washington's
knee jerk reaction to the Yazidi bloodbath was, of course, to blame "Al Qaeda",
then to state that: "Extremists continue to show to what lengths they will
go to stop Iraq from becoming a stable and secure country." Then, of course,
that they would "track down those responsible". Is there intelligent life
anywhere by the Potomac? They were "suicide bombers". Thus dead.
It would be interesting, to know though, how the US army knew within minutes that "two tons of explosives" were involved.
Indisputable
is that truck bombs, car bombs, suicide bombers, beheadings, kidnappings,
the daily toll of bodies found bound and terribly tortured and dumped in
the great biblical rivers, in streets, the Sunni-Shia "divide", all came
in with the US-UK invasion and the murderous militias they brought with them.
( AND, again.....
